Hospital Care (Indemnity) Insurance

If you become injured or ill and are hospitalized, your medical coverage will pay a portion of your costs. However, no plan pays for everything. Your share of the hospital bill, including coinsurance, copays and deductibles could be costly.

With Hospital Care (Indemnity) Insurance, you receive cash benefits for covered hospital stays and expenses. The money can help offset the hospital bill, take care of day-to-day expenses, or pay for anything you need.

  • Pays a daily benefit amount depending on the plan option. The lump-sum cash benefit is paid directly to you (unless otherwise assigned) and is paid in addition to your medical insurance.
  • You pay an employee group rate, so it costs less than buying coverage on your own.
  • There are no pre-existing condition limitations.
  • No Evidence of Insurability is required if you enroll during Open Enrollment, with a qualifying life event or as a new hire.
  • Flexibility to use the benefit money to address out-of-pocket expenses, like transportation and meals for family members, help with child care, or lost income from missing work.
  • Ability to keep your coverage if you leave the Company (with certain stipulations).
