Critical Illness Insurance

Heart attack and stroke are examples of common critical illnesses that often lead to unexpected medical bills. Critical illness insurance can help you by paying a lump-sum benefit to help cover your daily living expenses, such as grocery bills, mortgage payments, transportation costs or pay for your out-of-pocket medical costs, including deductibles, copays and coinsurance.

  • You receive a lump-sum cash benefit, which is paid directly to you (unless otherwise assigned) in addition to your medical insurance.
  • You pay an employee group rate, so it costs less than buying coverage on your own.
  • There are no pre-existing condition limitations.
  • No Evidence of Insurability is required if you enroll during Open Enrollment, with a qualifying life event or as a new hire.
  • Ability to keep your coverage if you leave the Company (with certain stipulations).

Coverage Options

YNHHS offers these additional benefits to help meet the diverse needs of our employees. Available to full- and part-time employees scheduled to work 24 or more hours per week. Coverage is available for you, your spouse and eligible dependent children. If elected, your coverage is paid through payroll deductions.
